About Sage Against the Machine
Spiritual streetwear for people who’ve done the work (and still have a sense of humour)
Sage Against the Machine is cheeky, witchy, spiritual streetwear for the ones who love personal growth… but don’t want to take themselves (or the “love and light” crowd) quite so seriously.
We make bold statement pieces that feel like wearing a spell: funny, edgy, empowering reminders of who you are and what you’re no longer available for.
The people behind the brand
Sage Against the Machine is founded by Sera Lilith Gold and Paul Littler.
Sera is a transformational music artist who creates shadow work journeys, transformational content, and soulful music with a dark edge. She’s been on a deep healing path for the past 20 years, exploring the dark feminine, reclaiming power in the shadows, and turning real-life breakthroughs into art you can feel.
Paul is a creative musician with big ideas. He’s autistic, famously awkward, beautifully boundaried, and the kind of person who says the honest thing out loud (which, frankly, is a spiritual practice in itself).
Together, we build from lived experience - the messy, funny, brave stuff - and turn it into clothing that helps you show up as your whole self.
How it started (aka: the tee that wouldn’t let us stay small)
This brand began with one shirt.
While Sera was promoting a boundaries-based online program called “The People Pleasers Funeral,” she had a custom tee printed that read:
“PSA: The people pleaser has left the building.”
It wasn’t meant to be a product. It was meant to be a personal declaration.
People-pleasing had been a huge chapter in Sera’s life. Wearing a statement that told the world “I’m not abandoning myself anymore” felt powerful - like a line in the sand.
Then we went to Glastonbury for weekend away. It happened to be Beltane, when the town fills with celebrating witches, green men, fairies, and spiritual seekers from all over the world.
And Sera got stopped. Again and again.
“Where did you get that?” “Do you sell it?” “I need that shirt.”
We couldn’t believe how many people wanted to wear the same message - not as a trend, but as a turning point.
So we started playing. Experimenting with phrases. Turning boundary breakthroughs and shadow-work truths into bold statements you could wear like armour.
And Paul said the thing that made it real:
Let’s build this.
Sage Against the Machine was born.

What we’re here for
We love spirituality and self-development - truly. (Obsessed)
And... we also see how heavy it can get. How serious. How performative. How easy it is to “do the work” while still abandoning yourself.
So we’re bringing comedy and edge back into the magic.
Because transformation doesn’t always look like incense and soft lighting. Sometimes it looks like a laugh that breaks the spell. Sometimes it looks like a boundary you finally keep. Sometimes it looks like a shirt that says what your nervous system is still learning to believe.

Our non-negotiables
We’re small, but we’re serious about what matters.
Quality: we won’t put our name on something that doesn’t feel amazing to wear.
Materials: the clothing matters - the feel, the fit, the longevity.
Customer care: you’re not an order number to us. You’re a human.
And one thing we will never do - even if it would make more money:
We will never lower the quality of the clothing. Ever.

Who this is for
Sage Against the Machine is for you if you’re:
Spiritual and obsessed with self-development
Not here for the “good vibes only” performance
Willing to do the shadow work (and tell the truth about it)
Ready to be both witchy and badass
The kind of person who knows humour can be medicine
What we want you to feel
Customers tell us things like:
“I’ve never seen anything like it.”
“I felt so powerful wearing this.”
“This helped me embrace my boundaries.”
“This helped me own who I am.”
That’s the goal.
Not just a cute tee. A wearable permission slip. A reminder. A spell.
